Fishing Elk Creek in Western Pennsylvania for migratory Steelhead Trout during a lake effect snowstorm in January of 2024! Elk creeks gets a lot of fish, but a lot of fishing pressure which makes getting them to bite a challenge. I ended up with three solid fish, one on the plug (spinning gear) and two on the egg sacs (centerpin). I kept the fish that followed the plug and got it smoked at Poor Richard's Bait & Tackle!

Fishing with borax-o-fire egg sacs (or roe bags) and plugs (specifically Hot N' Tots and Flatfish).
