In this episode of Weekend Warrior Michigan Fishing, we head out of Port Sheldon chasing steelhead and whatever else Lake Michigan is willing to give us. I’m joined by my youngest daughter, my brother-in-law, and my nephew for a fun evening on the water that keeps us on our toes the whole time.

The action starts early with some solid bites, including a couple of beautiful steelhead and even a coho in the mix. Not every fish makes it to the boat, but that’s all part of the game. As always, I break down exactly what’s working. I give the precise depth, lure, and setup for each fish we hook into so you can apply it on your own trips.

As the trip goes on, we start to see some weather building in the distance, which adds a little extra urgency to the evening. We wrap things up safely, and while the lightning doesn’t really show itself until we’re back home, it was definitely a reminder of how quickly things can change out on the lake.
