Spanish Pyrenees Fly Fishing Expedition

A 14-day journey across the Spanish Pyrenees from east to west with 10 young Americans: wild fishing, mountain adventures, culture, and an unforgettable experience in Spain. ????????????

In June 2026, we embarked on a unique expedition that began in Barcelona and took us from the Mediterranean coast deep into the heart of the Pyrenees, discovering some of the most spectacular and hidden corners of Spain.

For two weeks, we explored high mountain valleys, crystal-clear rivers, alpine lakes, and historic villages, combining fly fishing with a genuine immersion into Spanish culture and everyday life.

The highlight of the expedition was exploring the wild waters of the Pyrenees, where we pursued native trout, brown trout, barbel, and other species in breathtaking natural surroundings. Remote rivers, untouched landscapes, and unforgettable fishing days surrounded by mountains made every moment a new adventure.

But this journey was about much more than fishing. Along the way, we discovered centuries-old mountain villages, experienced traditional Spanish cuisine, connected with local people, and practiced Spanish in authentic settings full of history and character.

We also dedicated a special day to pursuing the legendary Wels catfish, one of the largest freshwater predators in the world, before returning to Barcelona to finish the expedition by enjoying Mediterranean culture, the beach, Catalan cuisine, and the unique atmosphere of this incredible city.

A journey that allowed these young Americans to experience a different side of Spain — a Spain of wild rivers, dramatic mountains, historic villages, and moments that will last a lifetime.
