n end of summer (late August) update on salmon and steelhead returns, fisheries, and environmental conditions in the Skeena, Nass, and other north coast systems.

*Correction: The Skeena summer-run steelhead return currently ranks as the 8th lowest in 70 years (as of August 25th)*

It is also important to mention the uncertainty associated with estimating steelhead abundance using the Tyee. It is a very rough estimate which does not evaluate or account for catchability at Tyee and variations with tides and timing, but is the only tool available at this time.
