Hey guys, I’m back with Part 2 of my 3-part series on how to catch your first steelhead!

In this video, I walk through a simple, budget-friendly steelhead setup that actually works, especially if you’re just getting started. You don’t need to spend a ton of money to catch fish, and this is the exact type of gear I’d recommend for beginners fishing rivers around Toronto and Southern Ontario.

I go over my rod, reel, line setup, and terminal tackle, and explain why each piece matters (and where you can save money). This setup is ideal for float fishing and will give you a solid foundation heading into trout opener.
