We re unite for the first time since our initial trip. And guess what, were back in the Bijagos!

We felt like it would be rude not to go back, and we decided to spend some time retracing our steps from our solo trips, with a combined tackle bag and pre made rigs. In reality we overpacked and we didnt really catch any more than we did the first time round, but we enjoyed the process anyway. We really looked forward to this trip, having been here before.

This video is an example of how not to film a session, as the "cameraman" forgot he was wearing the camera at several points, and got the on off sequence wrong for an hour in the middle of another epic lure session in the Bijagos. This time we were at 7 mile wreck, and the Leerfish had taken over. They really are an amazing fish, and they go on a turbo charged initial run, the like of which Carp fishermen could only dream of experiencing. The bigger ones can take 80 to 100 meters off of you, at 10KG of drag, within 30 seconds like nothing had happened. Sometimes theyll do it for a second or third time. We caught some decent Cobia and Cuda on lures here too, which were sadly not recorded due to the "cameraman" not knowing what day it was. The Jacks here seemed slightly bigger than elsewhere, and you could see them chasing flying fish all around us while we were casting.

We kept this video nice and short as its similar to Episode 2, and we know that the internet doesnt tolerate repetition. One thing we did do in this video is return every fish we caught without incident, and for that we are super happy. We'll keep repeating that regardless of what the internet thinks.

As before, book through a reputable tour operator (there are many who run this package from the UK and Europe but select on quality of overall package - not cost.) Always remeber you're miles from a hospital at all times while fishing, and even when you get to one it might be rubbish. Don't expect civilisation or tourist trappings as they dont really exist here. Be prepared to rough it slightly, pack your suncream, plasters, paracetamol & the like and have an amazing time. Its a happy place for us, and when theyre ready, were going to bring our kids. Its a place where you can forget life and breathe deeply in the unique natural environment of the Bijagos. Thats if the fishing doesnt put you off.
