When talking about long rods and short rods, we often only refer to the rod total length. Actually the entire rod industry tends to do so. However, for artificial bait fishing such as bass fishing and trout fishing where a lot of wrist casting is involved, how much rod is actually constantly being used is not always reflected by its total length. Same can be said about the rod weight. A lot of companies publish feather light rod weight to attract fishermen. But that really does not always translate to a light rod or a light combo in your hand.

In this episode, I take you through the two hidden rod specs that actually impact rod performance much more than "length" and "weight"
