It's the next day and conditions are not as optimal as i'd like but improving and fish are around the area I'm in at the moment so I'm confident.
Over the last two sessions I've been rewarded with a few bites after my change in tactics, this week it pays off proving that I'm heading in the right direction.

Reedy fen is a farm reservoir with a good stock of carp. Around 5-6 acres, the margins have extensive reed beds with a thick layer of silk-weed growing down the margin slopes. The deepest part of the lake is 28 feet with 14 feet just a few rod lengths out.
