Rainbow Lake Peg 6 – Biblical Weather & Big Carp Signs

We’ve arrived at Rainbow Lake for this week’s episode of the Fensmere Carpy Chronicles, and things are already looking promising!

A huge thank you to Dirk for allowing us to step into Peg 6, after my good mate Gavin Berry had to return home early. I’ve brought along Andy Holland for his first-ever trip to Rainbow, and we’ve split the swim with me fishing the right and Andy on the left.

We were greeted by what can only be described as biblical weather — blazing sunshine, flat calm conditions, and the perfect start to the week. After just one night and one day, I’ve already landed a bream from a shallower area between two small dot islands, while carp have been showing in the main zone of the swim.

We’ve scattered a few baits around the area and are sitting tight, hoping the fish move in. With MTC Baits RRR Garlic now doing its thing, we’re optimistic for the coming days.

Hopefully by Wednesday’s update we’ll have some proper Rainbow Lake carp to show you!
