I found myself fly fishing an Idaho stream, full of rainbow and brown trout. I was indicator fishing with a double nymph rig and couldn't keep these fish off my line. Until I hooked into some big, it turns out it was a steelhead! Fishing with 6x tippet and a 5wt rod somehow landed this monster trout! Definitely wasn't what I expected but it made my fishing trip. Conditions were tough but still manage to have an incredible day fly fishing.
