Carp fishing in the depths of winter can be a little overwhelming for some people, as the nights are long and the fishing can become a bit slow. I try to set myself a target each year of trying to capture a carp every month through the winter period and that seems to work for me. My fishing has been slow recently which made me have a quiet word with myself and make sure I was still making time for quick nights between work and boy did it pay off.
