Oak Orchard wasn't on our list of places to film Pautzke Outdoors. Meanwhile, with the Niagara River muddy and Erie tributaries locked up we salvaged our steelhead and brown trout trip by migrating to Western New York's Oak Orchard River. Roughly 45-minutes from Buffalo & Rochester this Lake Ontario tributary is a well-known, highly publicized and stocked with multiple species by the New York Department of Environmental Conservation. Armed with Pautzke's new Fire Balls we caught and released trout fishing them as single eggs, in spawn bags and tipped on jigs while filming this episode of Pautzke Outdoors on a frigid winter day.
