Carp Fishing In The Heart of London | Walthamstow Reservoir
In the heart of East London sits one of the capital's most unique carp fishing venues - Walthamstow Reservoir. Three lakes. One weekend. And a cause worth fishing for.
Organised by Tony Picardo and proudly sponsored by Sykes and Sons - the UK's oldest construction company.
The Walthamstow Charity event brought together a group of passionate anglers from all over the country to raise money for Hestia, a London charity supporting victims of domestic abuse and modern slavery.
With swims spread across Walthamstow 1 and the 2 & 3, every angler faced the same decision - fish the numbers on Walthamstow 1, or fish the harder lake with the bigger volume of larger residents, and hope for one bite that could change everything - Given that prizes were based on biggest fish only.

1st Place — Simon Oro & Michael Stevens — 27lb 14oz Mirror
2nd Place — Greg Knight — 27lb 8oz Common
3rd Place — David Barron — 26lb 9oz Common
