Drifting and trolling are about the only forms of fishing I do. You cover lots of water and find where fish hide. Drift fishing is relaxing, well, not always: tangled lines, lost tackle, and missed hook sets make for frustrating times. However, fishing multiple lines, varying depths, baits and speeds makes catching fish much faster than one rod and reel anchored in one spot hoping for the best.

Many might be wondering here my Helix 5 SI GPS unit is. I haven't rigged it up for the year. That's how desperate I've been to get out fishing. I need a battery charger. Also I will use the battery off my old, rusting lawn mower to power the unit instead of the big battery you've seen me with. The big battery has been reassigned to a robot lawn mower project.
