The island is actually composed of two main islands: Koh Lanta Yai (the larger, inhabited one) and Koh Lanta Noi, connected by a bridge. Known for its long, sandy beaches, relaxed atmosphere, and excellent diving spots, it's a popular destination for travelers seeking a quieter alternative to Thailand's busier islands like Phuket, Koh Samui or Koh Phi Phi.
