For this session I hit the river for a bit of practice for the upcoming competition . With the wind being up and it being slightly cooler it really switched the fish on, so watch every hit unfold.

I switched between aggressive baits, spinners, spin tails and chatterbaits, the action was relentless — chunky perch after chunky perch — with a few surprise predators smashing the lures as the weather started to turn.

The session produced lots of perch, including some proper river specimens, and I even had to cut loads of fish from the final edit because the bites just didn’t stop. When the river is clear and the fish are fired up, lure fishing for perch becomes one of the most exciting ways to spend a day on the bank.
