Spent a week in mid February fishing our way through the Chudleigh Lakes system near Mole Creek, Tasmania. The first few days were cold enough to bring snow which made the fishing peculiar, but it wasn't long before the action improved and I finally nabbed my first fish on a fly.
The patterns mostly used were brown and grey Adams Parachutes, though a couple of fish were taken on muddlers after dusk and another on a stone fly pattern.
Average fish came in at 3-4lb and all were released.
