I’ve finally tracked the Carp down!
Let’s try for a Winter 30……..

We can safely class this as Winter now, following a big freeze, I make maximum effort to pit my wits against the Carp in this Lake. Trying to carry on where I left off last week after catching 3 fish I arrive at the lake to find it very flooded with lots of new snaggy areas for the Carp to hide in. In my mind this also means the shallows I was fishing in last week will be deeper and therefore be holding bigger fish.
Can I achieve my goal for the beginning of 2026, to try and catch another Winter 30lber from this lake. It holds a handful and I was lucky enough to catch 2 last Winter.
This will be the Fourth video in my Winter campaigns series this season, on a Water I call The Long Lake.

“The Long Lake”

Although this is not the official name for this lake, I started calling it this last year in the videos so as not to have to name the particular lake out of respect to the Anglers and the people running it.
Join me on my Fourth session back here in cold Winter, drizzly conditions with a hint of sunshine.

I return to a swim I was catching from last Week to see if I can catch a Carp, or even better, Another Winter 30.

I fish some INTERESTING VENUES with some nice fish and spend a reasonable amount of time on the bank on Short to Medium Campaigns.
