First floater session of the year today, and I have to say—there's nothing quite like it. Floater fishing has to be my favourite style of angling by far. There’s just something incredibly rewarding about watching the fish rise, slowly gaining confidence as they start feeding on the surface. Seeing them inch closer and closer to the hook bait, every subtle movement keeping you on edge, makes for such an exciting and visual way to fish. It's a proper test of patience and finesse, but when it all comes together, it’s pure adrenaline. Just being able to observe their behaviour and adapt your approach in real time is what makes surface fishing so addictive. Can’t beat it when the conditions line up just right.
