Euro Nymphing for Steelhead in Low Water | Tough November Fishing in Steelhead Alley

Early November is usually one of the best times to fly fish for steelhead in Steelhead Alley. However, this year, I encountered some of the toughest conditions of the season. Despite recent rain, water levels were low, steelhead returns were abysmal, and heavy crowds made finding fish a serious challenge.

In this video, I explored a few different streams, moving around to escape the crowds and find unpressured steelhead. Clear flows and anglers around seemingly every bend frustrated my efforts and ensured that I had to bring my A-game to put any fish in the net.

This video shows the reality of grinding it out for Great Lakes steelhead. Although the conditions were less than stellar, it goes to show that the willingness to adapt and cover water can still be worthwhile. Hope you enjoy!
