Among many styles, I'm especially drawn to Japan’s traditional Tanago fishing. It’s a kind of fishing that feels simple yet deeply connected to nature.
At the same time, there are days when I just want to feel the breeze of the season and watch the tip of my rod sway gently. Fishing doesn't always have to be about the catch sometimes it's about just being there.
In Japan, carp fishing is a beloved pastime, enjoyed by children and adults alike. From simple float setups to refined European techniques, there are many ways to fish.
This time, I chose a style often enjoyed by kids here in Japan. I tried my luck at landing a big one in a irrigation canal.
