Two mornings of carp stalking in the Lake District, fishing the crystal-clear waters of Whins Pond!
With the hot weather making things even more challenging, I spent two mornings walking the margins, spotting carp cruising around in the clear water and trying to get them feeding confidently off the surface.
I managed to catch a few good fish along the way, but it definitely wasn’t plain sailing — with a couple of carp lost as well! ????
There’s something seriously exciting about watching carp take your bait right off the surface, especially when you can see everything happening in the crystal-clear water.
A challenging couple of mornings, plenty of fish spotted, a few lost, and some great carp landed. ????
