Carp fishing in winter is a challenge in itself. The carps metabolism really slows down due to the cold water temperatures and so do their activity levels meaning they don’t feed anywhere near as much as they do in the warmer months. Using the right bait therefore, is really important as we want to make sure we are using something that they really want to eat. Boilies, Maggots, sweetcorn, the list of Carp Fishing baits is endless and they will all work on the right day, but which bait is best for winter carp fishing? In this video I attempt to find out by fishing all three of the most popular winter baits against each other in my winter carp bait challenge.
