Join me on a short trip to Esnes Quarry in Wolverhampton as I go in search of a snow carp. The conditions are Baltic but I just love being out in sub-zero weather when the banks are quiet. This 18 acre water is currently run as a syndicate, but in the first week of April it opens for day tickets. Stocked with some stunning mirrors and commons to over 40lb, it is going to be a great venue for Midlands carpers. In the film we have a chat with venue owner Ed Matthews about what's on offer, and I talk tactics for cold water carping.
