Some sessions you just know are going to be special before you've even wet a line, and this was one of them, tucked away in the heart of the Cotswolds, Bramble Mere is one of those venues that just has something about it, the kind of place that's hard to put into words until you've been there yourself and even then you're not quite sure you want to give too much away!

We headed down with great company, great food and absolutely no complaints, the kind of trip where the fishing is brilliant but honestly even if it wasn't you'd still leave with a massive smile on your face, that's the beauty of a venue like this, it's about so much more than just the fishing.

But the fishing… the fishing was something else, carp after carp, the rods were barely still all session, the kind of day where you lose count of how many times the buzzer screams and you find yourself just grinning like an idiot every single time, we absolutely loved every minute of it.

We're not going to give too much away because honestly some places deserve to be discovered rather than handed to you on a plate, what we will say is if you ever get the chance to fish Bramble Mere in the Cotswolds, do not think twice, just go, you will not regret it for a single second.
