In this video, our volunteer Fabio shows you how to tie a simple baitfish pattern using Ice Dub and Laser dub. This is an attractor fly that you can use to target steelhead, trout, bass, panfish. For steelhead, you can fish this fly together with a nymph or an egg pattern. You can tie this fly in different color combinations: white and olive (emerald shiner imitation), white and blue, white and chartreuse, or white and red, or. Always check your local fishing regulations as to how many flies you can use.

Materials list:

Thread: 140 denier orange
Hook: Nymph hook 2x long size 4 – 10. In the video, I used a size 8 Tiemco 5262 hook.
Tail: Red laser or ice dub
Body: Holographic braid silver, silver flashabou, or silver mylar
Underwing: Laser dub UV pearl or white
Overwing: Laser dub blue
