Hi everyone, January was very cold and rainy. I thought about fishing for steelhead early but I injured myself officiating a basketball game. I've been officiating high school basketball for 12 years. The double header boys high school games did me over. Couldn't walk for 4 days. Saw my orthopedic physician and got diagnosed with osteo-arthritis in both knees.

Just getting out in the first week of February for steelhead and found a new technique to set the hook must quicker while float fishing/bobber jig. Take a look if you are doing this already. It will improve on reaction time.

Equipment:
Rod and reel - Fenwick HMX 10'-6' med mod fast 8 -15lbs, paired with Daiwa fuego 3000
Rod and reel - Okuma Celilo 9'-6" med - light 6 -12lbs, paired with Shimano Sahara 3000
