2025 CVWC Storm Lake Tournament

Come tag along for the third 2025 Cedar Valley Walleye Club tournament, which took place at Storm Lake, IA on May 31st.

Pre-fishing a few weeks prior to this event, we were finding big Walleye suspended all over the place. Unfortunately, the water temp dropped nearly 10 degrees leading up to the tournament and the rough fish had finished spawning, so they were everywhere we thought we'd find walleye.

The temperature was awful (hot) and there was zero (and I mean ZERO) wind on the lake. After grinding out a few of our spots, I had too much heat and almost called it. A few laps around the lake to get some air, and we finished off of Casino Beach where Kendal got our last fish.

We finished with 18.75 lbs - a far cry from the 30+ lbs I was expecting based on pre-fishing, but we held our own.
