After a long morning with no action, the afternoon sun warmed the shallow coves, and I finally spotted a solid pike. It stalked my soft plastic lizard but hesitated to commit. When it finally struck, I was so pumped, I overdid it… and broke the line on the hookset! I had to laugh to keep from crying!
