Went on a guided fly fishing trip for steelhead on the Pere Marquette River in northwest Michigan. Had a great day. This was the most exciting fight of the day for me.
As I drifted my flies, my guide pointed out a fish off of my right shoulder. I lifted my flies back to place them upstream of the fish and the fish took the egg fly. It also took me quite a ways downstream and wrapped my line around a log. Fortunately, I was able to get it out and land the fish.
