Join Big-D and Little-B as we head out on an adventure
to Catch some Big Lake Carp, at Hungry Mother Lake Virginia Parks
Let us show you how to make some cheap but effective Carp bait
that helped us bring this brute in .....
What you will need ....
1. a storage container or bucket - a lid if you plan to keep bait for
more than one trip ...
2. Whole grain Oats or Oatmeal
3. 1 can of whole sweet corn
4. 1 strawberry soda
should not cost no more than $5 to 8$
How I used it ...
take the pack bait or dough bait whatever you want to call it
and pack it around your sinker or lead wait , I like to use an 1/2 oz
clip on style ... once you have it attached to the sinker then take the
extra 2 or 3 inches of line with your hook and thread two or three
kernels of corn on it .. I used a circle hook size 2 or 4 I believe
then slightly hook it to your ball of bait and cast it out
the carp feed on the bottom and will scavenge around your slowly
dissolving pack bait and eventually get your hook and corn
let the Carp run off with it as the circle hook will set itself
I want to give a shout out to L & S outdoors for getting me hooked
on carp fishing as it is a blast -
