In this episode, I’m in Bulgaria fly fishing for some brown and rainbow trout. This is my first day or two out on the water so I hired a guide and actually made a great friend in Alex.

That’s one of the things I love about fly fishing guides. Not only are they local experts who really know the water, but they often end up being friends after we’ve fished for a few days together.

In this part of the country, the trout are a little bit smaller but have some gorgeous colors. But stay tuned because we head to another spot in the next ep where we find some nice big browns and rainbows!
