I lived on the BEAUTIFUL McKenzie River from 1988-1993 and have always wanted to catch a fish in front of my CHILDHOOD HOME. In this adventure Greg and I float down the McKenzie River with plans to catch a fish at my childhood home. Then I caught the BIGGEST TROUT OF THE DAY in front of that home! What a BLESSING!

We ended up with a LIMIT of TROUT and a NICE STEELHEAD broke me off after running under a log and some branches. This relaxing and peaceful float was my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE FLOAT of 2024.
