What a night it was! After catfish festival last week it all went a lot better last night with four carp and no catfish. After the catfish last week I stopped feeding boilies and switched to tigernuts. This turned out very well afterwards. De catfish didn't show itself anymore and the carp went lose on the tigernuts. The night started all good with an early hook up with a scale of 13.2kg and soon after it a little common.

In the middle of the night I almost lost my rod after a very hard run from a 15.6 kg scale which was really just a close call. I fished against obstacles so the slip was turned very tight but this was little too much!

Just when I start to think things could not get any crazier I get one more bite but it feels like the fish is getting stuck just like a heavy stump that came closer very slow... Just before I can land the fish it goes crazy and I feel that I have to deal with a serious fish and pretty soon I see that it is my target fish!! it's a two-tone common that weight normally 20kg plus!

But at the same time my other rod goes off!! double run!! I was fishing against obstacles with that rod so I know that I must block the fish.... With some jump and fly work I first tried to secure the target but when the other fish getting just enough line he managed to escape.

But time to focus on my target when I landed him safely you should see the smile on my face it was litterly from ear to ear and I for now I'm just forget the fish that just managed to escape. how much does she weight i know from stories and pictures this fish normally weights over 20kg? but just after spawning season? she weight at stabbing 19,3kg but that did not spoil the fun! pffff what a night.
