This big bulky brown trout took a liking to my soft plastic today. I was fishing in a small stream in North East Victoria and had just made a comment in the previous video that sometimes the streams that don't have as many trout tend to have larger trout and then I hooked this monster.
I was on a family outing in the hills, my wife and youngest daughter were metal detecting in a nearby campsite.
This big brown trout is probably the biggest trout that I have caught all season, and possibly for the last couple of seasons. I was stoked when I landed it.
It's amazing how when I am trout fishing I will usually be quite careless when landing the trout, but when it is such a big fish like this I really take my time and make sure the fish is landed properly. hahaha
