Catching bass is the best, it is even better when it is in the middle of South Africas nature in Mildersdrift

Kloofzicht is a little piece of heaven in the middle of Johannesburg south Africa. This Lodge offers alot of activities like spar treatments, balloon rides, nature walks, fishing and many more things to do.

The bass fishing is an activity that I find to be the best. Kloofzicht has four dams with hold trout, carp and bass. Summer bass fishing can be difficult, this pushes bass into the deepest cover around the dams.

The bass on this day of bass fishing wanted something falling right into there face in the deep cover. The reeds are the main structure of the dams.

The jig is a really good bait that can used for heavy cover fishing and it can be dragged around rock structures. The jig is a lure that not many bank anglers use to catch. This is because it is a lure that is very big when the skirt spreads out and it isn't always good for small ponds.

The jig is great to use because of it's uniqueness for those small ponds.

The jig I used at Kloofzicht to catch all my bass is a Peanut Butter finesse Jig.

It is really important to pair the jig up with the perfect trailer. I mostly use a beaver style trailer but in this case I used a Craw style trailer.
