Autumn visit to Norra Långevattnet: FLY FISHING for RAINBOW TROUT

It was a warm, sunny autumn evening at the start of October and I set out with my fly fishing rod for a session of rainbow trout fishing at Norra Långevattnet close to Göteborg, part of the Blå Kortet fishing license. The day before, I had visited the lake to get a sense of the conditions and had spotted some trout swimming slowly, probably uninterested in anything.

However, there was some rising trout and others passing by rather quickly like torpedoes, which left me eager and excited for this fishing session.
I started to fish with dry flies using my costal fly fishing rod setup with an intermediate slow sinking line. Of course, I did not expect the flies to stay long on the water surface with this line, but it worked quite well to present them slowly just a bit below the water surface. This fishing session turned out to be successful with a big rainbow trout in the net!

My gear:
- Rod: Guideline Stoked #6 9'.
- Reel: Guideline Reach 5/6.
- Line: Guideline Coastal Evolve #6 Slow Intermediate.

Flies:
- Adams Black #14
- Teal Svart Orange #12
- Europa 12 Oliv #12
- Conehead Muddler Orange Marabou #10
