I originally tied this fly up as a brown water option when our local river runs quite brown in the early fall season. Orange and red show up well in brown water and on this fly's first outing it hooked four steelhead.

Later I used the fly for Atlantic salmon final on a trip to the Gaspé and it scored a grilse on the first few casts. We were there in September, fishing over stale fish and this fly was one of the few we could get a fish to move for.

Give it a try as both steelhead and Atlantics love it.
