This is a video of the Sollas Fly-in 2016, arriving in an RV9A. It is at Sollas beach, in North Uist. (neo Solas ann an Uibhist a Tuath). The beach has a firm surface suitable for all aircraft, with only occasional shallow surface puddles. The annual fly in was started many years ago by John Macleod, in whose memory the event was held. The beach is marked as an airport on the aviation charts.
Excellent weather and turnout this year. Very welcoming well organised fly-in, thanks to all who put the effort in and organised a great event.
