We took a charter out a Tofino, B.C. and trolled for chinook and coho salmon with our fishing guide Mike from Clayoquot Ventures. Click below for more info...

We travelled from California to Vancouver by plane, then took a ferry over to Vancouver Island where we had to drive three hours to Tofino, a small and remote town on the island. We went with Clayoquot Ventures, with our guide Mike. We trolled the whole day with flashers and salted anchovies on the downrigger, which were really getting bit. In total , between us and our grandma, we each caught three salmon, and also one rockfish. We got 8 chinook and 1 coho salmon, but only ended up keeping four because our guide liked to release the smaller legal fish.
