Overnight Tour of Ha Long Bay | Vietnam Travel Guide

We booked an overnight cruise of Ha Long Bay through our hotel and were picked up by bus that morning. Stopping at the halfway point for snacks, we then made it to Ha Long Bay, where we took a small boat to our main boat for the night. There were roughly 10 other people on the tour, and we spent the first few hours eating lunch, hiking, and getting to know one another. We hiked a cave that was overrun by other tours, saw a beautiful viewpoint, went kayaking, then headed back to the boat for a cooking class and late night octopus fishing (we didn't catch anything).

The next morning we went hiking on one of the islands, then spent a brief amount of time swimming at the beach before a giant thunderstorm broke loose. We headed back to the boat and made it back to the mainland before taking a bus to our hotel!
