FINALLY!!!! Got a little adventurous and took the kayak out in the morning. There is still 6-8inches of ice on the boat launches so I had to slide my kayak across the ice to get to the middle of the river. After taking a break from that I received a call from a good friend and Menominee River Guide Brian Clairmont with BAC Guide service who then asked if I wanted to help open up one of the boat landings. Awesome experience doing that and seeing the excitement of the other shore anglers was great. We headed over to get the boat and got on some fish. I managed to catch my first ever Rainbow (Steelhead) ever and a nice eater walleye! Bigger ones to come!
