Amazing fly fishing with spey rods for stealhead fish. I catch my first steelhead on the third cast and my friend on his second cast! What an amazing day! Spey casting is done with either a normal length fly rod, or a rod referred to as a double-handed fly rod, called a Spey rod. Spey rods are also used for standard overhead casting. Spey casting is used for fishing large rivers for salmon and large trout such as steelhead and sea trout. Steelhead is a rainbow trout of a large migratory variety of fish. We use our boat to fish down the river and catch these beautiful fish. Axe Family fishing trip!
