The Spruce fly was asked to be tied by one of our loyal viewers, Greg, he mentioned on our Facebook page that he’d like to see our take on this classic pattern. It’s a great pattern for a variety of species including Sea-Run Cutthroat as well as Steelhead. The Spruce Fly is meant to imitate bait fish and predatory fish really like to key in on this pattern. Make sure to tie up a few in different sizes to match the bait fish in your area.
