Fly Tying the Fish Taco Steelhead Fly pattern - Ep 101 PF

The Fish Taco is a simple fly to tie and provides a ton of action in the current. The fly is unweighted and can be fished at depth by using split-shot or weighted heads. The fly has a ton of action with the long ostrich tendrils and offers a glint of flash with just a little Flashabou. There is also a version of the Fish Taco called the Flash taco tied with Flashabou rather than ostrich if you need a flashier fly.

The Fish Taco was designed by Jeff Hickman (Mr. Hankey) to have a ton of action and to be light.
