These are "micro" lite fishing combos for use with most fresh water fishing scenarios. Use lite line and set drag properly and you will be in for the time of your life! I also have two fly reels for use with any of the Penfishing rods and a special length and diameters fly line custom made for these "micro" lire fly reels. I have caught and landed without a net 4 pound trout and a nine pound Chanel cat with these rods. My friend John caught a 23 pound carp on the 4' modle a few years back and it was the world record on such a rod, It has since been beaten by another PENFISHINGROD, user :-) Awesome gear, loads of fun.
