Fishing for HUGE CATFISH using a Deeper Fishfinder | TAFishing

So I caught my first UK Catfish and it was MASSIVE! Well for me anyway. We set out using the Deeper Pro+ fishfinder to locate any fish that were sitting right on the lake bottom. With the weather being so warm the other fish species like carp, roach and bream would be higher up in the water column. However, the catfish are predominantly bottom feeders even in summer. Using the gps mapping feature on the Deeper we were able to spot a number of areas on the lake where there were fish showing on the bottom. We targeted these areas with a simple one hook rig and half a section of Bluey as bait. After a wait of about an hour and a half I hooked into a big catfish that put up an epic fight!
