We were trying to fly from Iceland to Norway the cheapest way possible, this was through Gdansk, Poland. Ideally we wanted to avoid the insanely expensive hotel accommodation in Iceland. So we STUPIDLY decided to have a 6 hour layover, at midnight, in Poland. We thought this would be hilarious. However, we made the rookie error of forgetting to include luggage, so we ended up paying $150 for luggage AND out 6 hour layover became 12 hours! So we ended up getting a very cheap, and uncomfortable hostel and spending the morning in Gdansk. Which ended up being much more enjoyable than Bergen, since it didn't stop raining!

So this crazy idea and that was supposed to save us money, ended up costing us the price of the Luggage and the Hostel, so we didn't save any money but we now get to tick Poland off our country counts. Thats something, right?!
