FPV drone pilot "dronexcursion" crashes his acrobatic/race drone down a 140 foot jungly cliffside into the ocean in Kauai due to an electrical malfunction. He doesn't even realize it's in the ocean until the following day when he uses his DJI Mavic Pro drone in a recovery mission. The crashed drone was miraculously spotted down in the clear Hawaiian water. Luckily there was a GoPro rolling on the accidental amphibious drone to document the crash. The footage and recovery made for a unique story that had to be shared. Enjoy.
For those FPV pilots out there, what I believe happened is one of the ESC's desynced and/or rebooted which caused it to spin out of control. I was using a HobbyWing X-rotor 4 in 1 ESC. It's a great product, but I believe I had the throttle max and min settings set poorly. Should have verified this before attempting to fly like this over a risky area! LOL..
