Its the beginning of May 2016 and in certain areas the carp are rumour to be spawning.
I turned up at the gate of the rosy at 6:20 AM and there was already a car there and i new it was going to be a busy day so getting the kit out of the van quickly was going to be essential.
Checking the weather the night before it looked like it was going to be an overcast but warm day, Perfect for a day in the shallows.
How wrong was i........ it turned out to be one of the hottest sunniest days so far this year and i had to wait until 4PM until my first carp bite.
